What We Learn From Hajj?

Hajj is great worship in which a great number of Muslims gathered in the city of Makkah in the Month of Dahul Hijja. Hajj is one of five pillars of Islam and it is obligatory for every Muslim who can able to perform it. There are many things which we can get from performing Hajj.

Hajj is a great example of Unity and Brotherhood:

2 Millions of Muslims from all over the world gather at one point during the Hajj. For some days, Muslims live together under one roof (Kaaba) and therefore Hajj is a perfect example of Unity of Brotherhood. Hajj gives us a very important lesson of life that is, people in the world from different religions, races, casts, and nations can live together as in one unity on Earth peacefully, without hurting each other.

Hajj fortifies unity among Muslims:

Muslims from all over the world gather in Makkah and Madina to perform Hajj. During the Hajj, All Hajjis who belong to different countries, races, colors, and nations live together, pray together and eat together and in this way differences between the Hajjis finish. Ihram is a simple white dress and it finishes the difference between rich and poor, black and white. There is no one superior during the holy journey of Hajj because all Muslims are treated in the same way.

Hajj teaches us that easiness always comes after difficulty:

A great example of tolerance realized when we run between the hills of Safa and Marwa. When Allah ordered his Prophet Ibrahim that you left your wife (Hajira) and child (Ismail) in the desert of Makkah. Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) do same as the Allah ordered to him.

When Hazrat Hajira (RA) was running between the hills of Safa and Marwa in search of water because her child felt thirst. Allah rewarded her a fountain of water (Zamzam well) because she showed patience. In light of this event, we know that easiness always comes after difficulty.

Hajj teaches us to stand against evil:

When a Hajji wears the Ihram then he stops himself from all things that are not allowable in the religion. The process of Ihram makes the Muslim hard against greed and evil. A great example here that relates the event of Hajj. When the devil tried to mislead the Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) form Allah’s order. The Prophet of Allah thrown the stones on him. These feelings experienced when Hajji throws the stones at the place of Jamarat during the Hajj.

Hajj teaches us to sacrifice for others:

The ritual of slaughtering animals gets back to the time when a father slaughters his son in the way of Allah. This event happened when Allah ordered that Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) to slaughter his son.  When Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) started to slaughter his son (Ismail), at this moment Allah sent a lamb to the slaughter, Allah accepted the sacrifice of his Prophet.

This ritual of slaughtering teaches us that if we sacrifice for others, it will bring only good to us. Sacrificing (Qurbani) for others is a good deed in every religion and whenever a company provides Cheap Hajj Packages then it gives priority on sacrifice greatly as it is a necessary part of Hajj.
